Behind the Lens: New York City’s Shelter Dogs Sunday, August 23 • 2:00 PM at the Museum of the City of New York, 1220 Fifth Avenue at 104th Street, Manhattan

Photographer Charlotte Dumas will speak about her portraits of NYC shelter dogs, followed by a discussion with handlers from Animal Care & Control of NYC about their work in rescuing, caring for, and finding homes for homeless and abandoned animals. The event will be preceded by a “meet and greet” with several shelter dogs (available for adoption) on the Museum’s front terrace. For more details, call (212) 534-1672, ext. 3395.
