@ Best in Show: Pets in Contemporary Photography Exhibition

The exhibit explores the role our furry friends and feathered friends have played in culture and how they stand as representations of status, power, loyalty, compassion, and companionship through the perspectives of 25 global artists. The exhibit, which is in partnership with Badlands Ranch, tackles a range of topics of interest including the world of pet competitions, animal experimentation, pet food, and pet homelessness and rescue work. Above all, it highlights the great love and bond of animals and their owners in society, especially in our homes and families. It illustrates that pet photography is an art.

The images in this album are of a Kitty & Doggie News visit to the museum on Oct. 22, 2023. As a pet mom, advocate and pet photographer, I recommend this exhibit, which is on view through January 2024. I am inspired to continue taking photos of pets and their people.
